Who doesn’t love a great Disney movie? The Little Mermaid is one of my all time favourites. I remember going to a tiny cinema in my home town with my Mum and Sister to watch the film when it was first released. Fast forward a few too many years and my love of Ariel and her fishy friends continues, but this time I have my own little girl to share it with.

Peach soon turns three. Three years of having this little bundle of attitude in our lives. Safe to say that her birthday gift list mainly consisted of ‘babies’ and Disney items. With the Little Mermaid being at the top of the list.

In the past our bath toys have mostly been various squirters and pouring items. It’s been difficult finding something fun and more grown up for Peach. Many of our bath toys have seen better days, with the children having played with them for ages.

So, I opened the computer and began to search the wonder that is the internet to see if I could find a toy that was both suitable for the bath and Ariel themed. Thinking I would only find the normal squidgy squiters I was amazed when I found ‘Colour of the Sea’s Ariel’ that is suitable for the bath. Retailing at £34.99, it is pricey for a bath toy, however she is so much more.

Ariel arrived bigger than I expected, she’s very much a Disney toddler doll size, which is brilliant for little hands. She has a fabulous magical tail that lights up the bath water, with a light show of beautiful colours.

Ariel also sings ‘part of your world’ along to the light show. It’s lovely listening to Peach singing her little heart out along with Ariel. She also speaks 14 different magical phrases that every Little Mermaid fan will recognise. Ariel comes with a tiara and of course her best fishy friend Flounder. She is a multi lingual mermaid, as she also speaks Spanish.

One of the things I love is that Ariel can be played with on land or at sea, her hair easily brushed out after her water adventure with Peach. You just need to make sure that she has dried out before playing with on land, as she holds quite a bit of water!

Peach loves her new Ariel, I’m sure she will be on the wish list of lots of Little Mermaid fans this Christmas.

Love Always,

This is a collaboration post, we were sent Ariel for review. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.
