Cooking with your children is always great fun, they love to help out and get involved. It’s great for teaching them new skills and helps them to understand where food comes from.
With Each and Pear at school, Peach and I often make things together. Normally cakes and sweets things. This time we thought we would try something quick and easy, but savoury, for brunch.
Num Noms have just launched a new range of brunch and dinner scented cuties. Num Noms are stackable food inspired collectables, you stack them together to create your own crazy combinations of food. Bugers and sushi, chips and waffles or even bugers, cupcakes and jellybeans. We were asked to make Num Noms inspired dish with our mini chefs.
I had asked Peach what she fancied for her lunch and eggs is what she said. So we looked at some ideas of easy things to make, eggy bread with a sweet twist is what she opted for. Eggy bread is something that we love as a family but don’t very often have, when we do it’s along side a cooked breakfast. Peach loves smell of Cindy Cinnamon so we thought we would add a pinch of cinnamon to our eggy bread.
- 1 splash of milk
- 1 tea spoon of cinnamon
- 2 eggs
- 3 slices of wholemeal bread
How to make
- Beat the eggs together with the milk and cinnamon
- Heat a splash of oil in a pan
- Dip a slice of bread into the egg mixture
- Add to the pan and allow to fry gently on each side
- Serve and enjoy with your mini chef
Cindy Cinnamon eggy bread, was easy to make, Peach loved helping to beat the eggs together and of course eating the finished product.
Both Peach and Pear were sent some NumNoms to review and Pear’s been cooking up a storm over on her youtube channel. Check out how to make some lovely Banana and Blueberry Bread and watch her play with the num noms!
Who is your favourite Num Nom?
We were sent series 2 Num Noms to be included within this post. As always thoughts and opinions are my own.
