balms-naturalAs a family we like to use natural and organic produce as much as we can. I’m very aware of the chemicals in our food and toiletries and I feel it’s important that we try to avoid these as much as possible. I’ve long been a fan of Green People and Child’s Farm but love to discover new independent shops that also offer this type of product too.

Chambers & Co are a family run business selling skin care and natural leather care products. The company came into existence when their children were young. Discovering their son had several intolerances to food and additives and their daughter a skin condition from the soap at school, they began looking into products and their origins and ingredients. Fascinated, they started formulating their own 100% natural products like balms for hands and feet, face cream and arnica balm.

In 2015 they decided to launch Chambers & Co offering their ever-growing range of fantastic natural skin care products that they have tried, tested and perfected over the last years. Expanding their range they also now offer products for pet care and leather conditioners made out of 100% natural ingredients.

We recently were sent a couple of their best-selling balms to try out and we are impressed!

carrot-foot-balm

Carrot tissue foot balm

To help soften, moisturise and restore dry and cracked feet. Luckily my feet are not too bad but this has made them extra silky and will definitely get a lot of use in the summer when my feet tend to be more dry. Made with Carrot Tissue Oil which is rich in B-carotene and helps to improves the skin’s barrier functions and increases cell proliferation. It also works to soften the skin and has anti-inflammatory properties too. The addition of avocado butter nourishes, softens and soothes the skin and Hemp Seed Oil has antibacterial and antifungal as well as skin restorative properties.

I recommend using this daily on your feet, after a bath and before you jump into bed so you can wake up with silky smooth feet! Lush!

hand-balm

Hand Balm for active hands

Made with Aloe Vera which has well-known healing, soothing and moisturising properties. Coconut Oil which is one of the most powerful natural oils to moisturise and nourish skin. And Almond Oil which has many therapeutic properties including anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and emollient.

The balm absorbs quickly and smells beautiful and I use it daily after washing my hands. Because it is a balm you only need a little bit so the tub goes and long long way.

arnica-balm

Arnica balm with comfrey and calendula for bumps, aches and sprains

Luckily we havent had a whole lot of use for the arnica cream yet but I have used it to sooth Pear’s growing pains recently. I know for sure that my little explorer Plum will put it through its paces very soon as she is walking!

What I love about it is that it is completely natural, safe for use on little ones no matter how small. Soothing arnica wih comfrey and calendula is also perfect for relieving aches and pains on muscles and joints after physical exertion. We will definitely use on gym days or when we are gardening again in the spring.

Thank you Chambers for introducing me to your fabulous natural skin care products. Cannot wait to see what is next in the range!
